Dubravice: Hotels and Accommodation

When considering booking a hotel in Dubravice, the Krka is the first place to look: Skradinski buk lies upstream from Skradin in the area of the Dubravice settlement and forms a system of travertine cascades, islets, and pools. In the wider Skradin area, Dubravice is mentioned as one of the villages along the wine and olive oil routes of the wider Skradin area.

Cycling

Several named cycling routes pass through Dubravice or continue from there. On its return route toward Skradin, the Krka Bike Road 1 passes through Dubravice. The Skradin–Rupe cycling route is a 31-kilometre recreational cycling route through Dubravice and climbs gently to the Church of St. Kate in Dubravice. Route 252 uses asphalt, gravel, and dirt roads and is intended for mountain bikes. The Skradin–Visovačko jezero cycling route descends from Dubravice to the Krka via hairpin bends.

Nature

In the wider area of Dubravice, an educational hiking trail runs from Gornji Graovo to the edge of the Krka canyon at Vukovića podi; it ends at a viewpoint overlooking Visovac Island and the Među gredama canyon. The Uzdaj site is a natural drinking-water spring in Dubravice below the Uzdah Tower. The Uzdaj Spring is described as a spring that has never dried up, even in summer or winter.

History

The surviving remains of the Uzdah Tower stand on a hill above Dubravice. The tower was built by the noble Šubić family before the arrival of the Ottomans. The Uzdah Tower can be reached via a gravel road, with part of the access completed on foot or by bicycle.

Traditions

Before the Feast of Saint John, a Svitnjak bonfire is traditionally organised in Dubravice. The Gospa Fatima celebration in Dubravice has been held annually since 1986, with a procession and a solemn Mass.
