Near Gornje Planjane lies Škarin Samograd Cave in Mirlović Zagora; it contains artefacts dating from the Neolithic to the 3rd century BC, as well as from later periods up to the Middle Ages. Traditional ponds in the Unešić area were maintained and re-excavated to provide water for livestock.
