Bajagić lies on the left bank of the Cetina at the northeastern edge of HrvataÄko polje, giving it the character of a river and field landscape. Anyone wishing to book a hotel in Bajagic can continue their accommodation search afterwards.
Nature
There is no bridge over the Cetina within Bajagić; the nearest crossings are in the hamlet of Panj in Rumin and near Han.
Culture
The parish church of St. Nicholas in Bajagić was built in 1937 from natural stone in the Neo-Romanesque style. The medieval cemetery along the Malin stream is a protected cultural monument. It is provisionally attributed to the Classical Old Croatian period between the 9th and 12th centuries. The formerly visible gravestones and stone slabs of the cemetery are believed to lie beneath the ground.
Early medieval graves were accidentally discovered at Banova Draga near the parish church of St. Nicholas in Bajagić. Grave goods recorded there include ceramic vessels, arrowheads, spurs, knives, spears and sickles. The finds indicate burials incorporating elements of a pagan ritual.
Nearby, north of Bajagić, prehistoric and medieval finds have been recorded in Kravarica Cave. The cave contains ceramic fragments from the Early and Middle Bronze Ages. Its two entrances are known as Pećina Kravarica and Pećica.
Traditions
The annual maÄkare carnival procession in Bajagić is an intangible cultural tradition of the villages of PodkameÅ¡nica. Carnival bells and accompanying rituals are part of the procession.
Cycling routes
The Panj cycling route passes through Bajagić before reaching a bridge over the Cetina. The Aequum Track includes the Neo-Romanesque Church of St. Nicholas in Bajagić.
