History
Čitluk is home to the protected archaeological site of Aequum, a Roman veteran colony founded in the middle of the 1st century. The documented remains include a forum with a Capitolium, baths, religious buildings, and sections of the eastern and southern city gates. There are also fragments of a monumental sculpture of Hercules, as well as a statue of Diana Lucifera.
