Culture and History

The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Pridraga was built in honour of the Virgin Mary of the Rosary; it replaced a chapel dedicated to Saint Mark dating from 1882.

The Early Christian Church of Saint Martin lies amid the fields along the road from Novigrad to Pridraga. The single-nave building has three apses and was built in the 5th or 6th century. The remains of a baptistery from the same period, that is, from the 5th or 6th century, are located next to the church.

The Church of Saint Michael in Manastirine dates from the second half of the 9th century. It is located in the village of Pridraga near Novigrad, close to Zadar, in the area of Manastirine, also known as Miovilovac, and has a circular central space with six semicircular apses. The church was built over the remains of an earlier villa rustica and not far from the Early Christian Church of Saint Martin.

Coast and Nature

Vrulja Beach is a natural pebble beach in Pridraga. The nearby Zrmanja Canyon is 2.8 kilometres from Pridraga and is presented as an excursion destination to explore.

The Ćuskijaš–Karin route runs through a pine forest to the first houses in Karin.

Events

The event “Dalmacijo, Pridragu ti ljubim” is a gathering of cultural and artistic associations held in mid-July, featuring traditional dances, music, language and customs.

Local Life
