Adamov is one of the oldest workers' settlements in the Czech Republic.
History and Townscape
Adamov was founded in 1784 by Jan Adam Auersperg for workers of the nearby spinning mill in Tupadly. The settlement was built practically in the forests, and most of the houses were made of wood. During the winter, the first residents also worked in timber harvesting.
The former inn No. 19 is the oldest building in Adamov and is about 200 years old. Adamov also has a simple bell tower dating from 1919.

PID line 740 runs from Adamov in the direction of Čáslav railway station.
Adamov's local cultural program includes the Silvestrovský pochod, which took place in Adamov in 2022. Adamovské koulení was held together with a Posvícenská zábava.
