Chraštice: Hotels and Accommodation

In the southern part of the village square, diagonally opposite the parish house No. 1, stands a sandstone statue of Saint John of Nepomuk on a high column pedestal. It dates from the first half of the 19th century and depicts the saint with a cross without a corpus resting on a palm branch. The statue has been protected as a cultural monument since 3 May 1958.

The cemetery is home to the Chraštická plačka, an Empire-style tomb with a balustrade and a sculptural group. It was erected in 1789 and is listed among the artistic monuments of Bohemia.

In front of the church stands a monument to those who fell in the First and Second World Wars. The war memorial was erected soon after the First World War in its memory and bears the inscription “Vděčná osada Chraštice svým hrdinům 1914–1919”.

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Chraštice also includes the northern Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre, which is now used as a storage depot.

Chraštice is connected by the I/4 first-class road and third-class roads. Cycle Route No. 302 Praha–Vídeň is designated for Chraštice.
