Jevany: Hotels and Accommodations

In Jevany, water, forests, and traces of history exist side by side. Jevanský rybník is the largest local body of water and covers 17.62 ha.

Water

Jevanský rybník is used for recreation in summer; swimming is possible there on an unorganized basis. The banks are covered with grass, and the entry into the water is sandy. Rowboats, canoes, surfboards, pedal boats, and paddleboards can once again be seen on the water.

Nature

The cadastral area of Jevany includes part of the Voděradské bučiny Nature Reserve. Voděradské bučiny is designated as a national nature reserve; its purpose is to protect an extensive beech forest. The Šáchovec locality comprises a waterlogged sedge meadow with tussocks as well as submerged aquatic vegetation. Šáchovec can be accessed via the red-marked hiking trail from Kostelec nad Černými lesy to Senohraby.

Culture and History

Aldašín lies within the cadastral area of Jevany and is an important archaeological site. Remains of buildings, other elements of the former settlement area, and traces of vanished medieval roads have been preserved there. The Church of Saint George has survived in Aldašín to this day. The tower of the Church of Saint George was rebuilt in 1771. The bell tower in the center of Jevany was built in 1897 and is considered one of the symbols of the town.
