Sibřina: Hotels and Accommodations

Sibřina can be classified through specific historical traces: the first documented mention of Sibřina dates back to 1197. The pseudo-Gothic bell tower in Sibřina dates from the second half of the 19th century; the year 1867 is displayed on the structure.

History

Before 1492, Sibřina, the manor farm and the rest of the estate came into the possession of Václav Tluksa of Vrábí, the owner of the fortress in Dřevčice. In 1589, Sibřina was transferred to Jaroslav Smiřický of Smiřice and Kostelec nad Černými Lesy. Archaeological finds from the cadastral area of Sibřina provide evidence of several Celtic settlements that were used from the 3rd to the 1st century BC.

Culture and Village Landscape

The cross in Stupice bears an inscription from 1826 naming P. Rautenkran and the municipality of Stupice. A protected historic cross and a bell tower from 1826 stand in the village square of Stupice.

Festivals and Customs

The 2026 Masopust in Sibřina was announced as the 25th edition. Meat dishes, pastries and traditional Masopust drinks were offered at the 2026 Masopust in Sibřina. On Christmas Eve, visitors can light candles with the light from Bethlehem at the chapel in Sibřina. The light from Bethlehem can also be lit at the Advent spiral on Palouček in Sibřina in front of SOSÁKOV.

Getting Around

Due to the lack of tourist signage, Sibřina can be reached by roads from Újezd nad Lesy, Prague-Koloděje, Kralovice, Křenice, Sluštice and Květnice.
