Neratovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Neratovice lies in the heart of the Polabská nížina, a region characterized by a flat landscape. The Elbe flows through the town; its banks are suitable for walking, cycling and relaxing in nature. Along the river, there are flat routes that are also suitable for less experienced cyclists and pedestrians.

Nature and Trails

Neratovice and its surroundings offer a dense network of cycle paths across the predominantly flat terrain of the Polabská nížina. It ranges from easy rides to longer tours into nature or to historical sights. Near Neratovice, in the direction of Mělník, lies the Kopeč Nature Reserve. It protects dry-loving plant communities and rock outcrops with rare and endangered species of plants, fungi, insects, thermophilic spiders and snails.

Pískovna Mlékojedy is a popular swimming spot in summer. At the sand quarry, which comes alive in summer thanks to Beach Bar Mlékojedy, numerous holiday events in the fields of music, sports and other activities take place.

Leisure

The Neratovice outdoor swimming pool has a newly renovated non-swimmers' pool with numerous water attractions and a slide, as well as a new paddling pool with interesting water features. In addition to swimming, the complex offers minigolf, table tennis and other games; the necessary equipment can be rented.

The Lesní naučná tělocvična Neratovice consists of six stations on the edge of the Skala woodland along a green-marked hiking trail between Lobkovice and Kojetice. Each station has a QR code leading to nature-related questions that change monthly.

Culture

Lobkovice served as a summer residence for the Palacký family, who found time to relax there while walking along the banks of the Elbe. František Palacký spent part of his life in Lobkovice at a nearby château and wrote part of his important historical work there. His tomb is also located in the grounds of the church in Lobkovice.

Transport

Neratovice railway station is served by railway lines 070 (Praha-Čakovice–Turnov), 074 (Čelákovice–Neratovice) and 092 (Neratovice–Kralupy nad Vltavou). Access to the station building, including the passenger shelter and ticket counter, is barrier-free.
