History and architecture
The first mention of Stránka dates back to 1357. Stránka Chateau is a two-winged Baroque chateau with a clock tower and ground-level arcades. The municipality of Stránka bought the chateau in 2016 and renovated six apartments in the chateau building.
A room on the first floor of the chateau formerly served as the Chapel of Saint John. It contained a Baroque altar dedicated to Our Lady of Good Counsel. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is also part of the historic features in the village. It is severely damaged, particularly in the lower section, and is protected by a grille to prevent further deterioration.
The war memorial stands in Stránka village square and is accessible. Above Stránka there is a wooden structure that is probably a bell tower. It is in very good technical condition, and its surroundings are well maintained. The bell tower of Stránka offers a beautiful view of Stránka.
Landscape and cycling routes
Stránka is situated in a fertile landscape characterized by forests. Cycling route 0009 runs through Stránka and connects Mělnické Vtelno, Kadlín, Stránka, Mšeno, and Vojtěchov. The statue of Saint Wenceslas stands directly along cycling route 0008.
The war memorial stands directly along cycling routes 0008 and 0009. The bell tower of Stránka is located approximately 50 meters from these two cycling routes. A regional road toward Mladá Boleslav also runs around Stránka.
Local events
The Stránecký běh is a recurring local running event in Stránka. The 12th edition in 2022 and the 13th edition in 2023 are documented. The Stránecký běh 2023 used a 5,400-meter-long running route.
The Stránecký pochod 2022 used a 5,400-meter-long walking route. After the Stránecký běh 2022, the Stránecký pochod took place as a walking activity.
