České Meziříčí: Hotels and accommodations
Culture and history
The Parish Church of St. Catherine stands approximately in the center of České Meziříčí along the road and is visible from afar. Its present-day structure was built between 1748 and 1752: the foundation stone was laid on September 8, 1748, and the new building was consecrated on November 25, 1752. The church has Baroque interior furnishings, including the main altar, pulpit, and inventory, which were created at the same time as the building.
Hrnčířův mlýn was first mentioned in 1598 in the land register of the Opočno estate. Since May 2, 2019, Hrnčířův mlýn has been protected as a cultural monument. The mill building preserves an almost completely intact, industrially manufactured milling technology from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The settlement of Králův Les was founded by Saxon colonists and first mentioned in 1300. It was established at the end of the 13th century at a ford on a branch of the important Kłodzko–Polish trade route.
