Culture and History

The underground passage in Přepychy is exceptionally well preserved and was probably built between the 14th and 16th centuries. On 11 June 2016, it was ceremonially opened to the public for the first time.

The basic structure of the Kostel sv. Prokopa church dates from 1574 and has survived to this day, apart from the later Baroque interior and the present-day tower, which was rebuilt about 350 years later. The Václav bell dates from the mid-16th century and survived the confiscation of bells for weapons production during both world wars.

The Panny Marie Chapel was built near a spring in 1889.
