Bleistadt: Hotels and Accommodation

A marked route from the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael in Oloví to the Cibulka lookout tower is approximately 2.3 km long and initially follows blue markings, then yellow markings. From the lookout tower, there are views in all directions; sights include the town of Oloví, the ridges of the Ore Mountains, the Sokolov Basin, the Slavkov Forest, and Smrčiny with Zelená hora.

At the “Geological Metamorphoses” station, blue-gray galena crystals are described, which are rarely found embedded in whitish-gray quartz. The station also explains how miners followed the ore veins from the valley and drove adits with a slight gradient so that water could drain away.

The Church of the Holy Archangel Michael is a Neo-Gothic building erected between 1901 and 1902 by the builder Emil Litka from Sokolov. It houses a rare Gothic statue of the Madonna from the 15th century. The Church of St. Michael is designated as an architectural monument.

The Chapel of St. Joseph dates from around 1550 and commemorates the former mining industry in Oloví. After reconstruction began in 2004, it was rebuilt from the remaining foundations.

The Chapel of the Holy Trinity is an artificial grotto built from slag from the former ironworks in Rotava. It served as a small pilgrimage destination for Oloví, Libnov, Dolina, Krajková, and Hřebeny. The St. Anna hereditary adit drained larger parts of the summit areas of Eisenberg and Röflerberg.

The marked circular route “Around Oloví” is 16.4 km long and moderately difficult. On the return journey to Oloví railway station, it follows a cycle route.
