The Janovické poustevny consist of several sandstone rocks with rooms and niches carved into them. The chapel in Janovice v Podještědí is a square, plastered building with sandstone foundations and an octagonal bell turret. It was built as a new stone chapel on 24 June 1753 and solemnly consecrated on 14 October 1754. A Calvary was later established in Janovice v Podještědí.
