Hraběšice: Hotels and Accommodation

Hraběšice originated as a settlement of lumberjacks and miners; iron ore was mined in the surrounding area. The village is first mentioned in written sources in 1569.

The Church of Saints Philip and James was built between 1818 and 1825, and a parish was established there in 1842. The walls and ceiling of its chancel are covered with Neoclassical frescoes. Next to the parish church stands a listed Baroque rustic statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from the second half of the 18th century.

Skipark Hraběšice is a family-friendly ski centre with slopes at an altitude of 530 to 660 metres. Two interconnected lifts serve the slope; the longer one is a 620-metre double drag lift. A ski school is available for children and adults. During the summer months, there is a swimming pool below the slope.

In the immediate surroundings, the Krásné Reservoir, its environs and the settlement of Krásné form a recreational area close to the city. The Krásné Quarry is also nearby, an active dimension-stone quarry with four main levels and walls at least 40 metres high.

From the Skřítek Pass, excursions lead towards Šumperk and onward towards Hraběšice. The named route “Along the Flora of the Rudoltický Stream” lists Sobotín, Rudoltice, Traťovka, Hraběšice and Krásné as stops.
