Lipovec: Hotels and Accommodation

Lipovec combines a rural landscape with traces of history.

Landscape

About one third of the area of the municipality of Lipovec is forested; the municipality’s cadastral area also contains orchards. In the vicinity of Lipovec are Krkanka Mountain, Višňovka Hill [Podhořany u Ronova], and the hill (Na Spravedlnosti) [Ronov nad Doubravou]. Bučina Mountain is located near Lipovec.

Special permission to enter the Licoměřice geological site is required due to the military area, quarry, and private properties.

History and Culture

The Lipovec fortress is considered to have been abandoned by 1510. Today, only a prominent rise in the terrain remains of the former Lipovec fortress grounds.

The Partyzánská stezka is an approximately 9 km circular trail that can be completed on foot. The traditional Pálení čarodějnic celebration is scheduled for April 30, 2026, from 5 p.m. at the Lipovec sports complex.

The wider regional area around Lipovec includes Zámek Kačina and the Church of Svatý Jiří.
