Zájezdec: Hotels and accommodations

In the center of Zájezdec, next to the chapel, stands a restored statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, which was erected in 2009. The central chapel of Zájezdec dates from 1892.

Culture and history

The medieval and modern-era center of Zájezdec is an area where archaeological finds have been documented or where their occurrence is reasonably suspected.

In the northern part of Zájezdec, the Jewish cemetery lies between the pond and the road to Přestavlky. It is situated on the western slope above the floodplain of the Ležák stream and above an elongated pond.

The Zájezdec Jewish cemetery was allegedly established in the second half of the 18th century. The cemetery contains approximately 115 gravestones dating from 1789 to 1919.

Nature and townscape

North of Zájezdec lies the larger Malá voda pond. In the immediate surroundings of Zájezdec are the Na Homoli hill [Rosice u Chrasti], the (Panské) hill [Zaječice u Chrudimi], and the (Turyň) hill [Kočí]. In the wider regional surroundings of Zájezdec are the Church of Saint George and Bučina Mountain.

Other features

In the southern part of Zájezdec, a fenced-in children's playground was established between 2003 and spring 2005, with a seesaw, a slide with swings, a rope climbing frame, three benches, and a sandbox.
