Slatinany: Hotels and Accommodations

The Slatiňany chateau complex is a national cultural monument; it was designated as such in 2001. It is part of the Slatiňansko–Slavicko Landscape Heritage Zone and developed from a Gothic fortress into a Renaissance and later Baroque chateau.

Culture

The adjacent English-style chateau park of Slatiňany covers 16 hectares. The chateau garden extends over 9 hectares and includes a collection of foreign woody plants, flower beds, a romantic pond, two summerhouses, a chapel, a children's playground, and small log cabins for the education of noble descendants.

The Slatiňany stud farm offers guided tours for visitors and has been part of Národní hřebčín Kladruby nad Labem since 1992. The commentary tour also includes the historic saddlery of the Auersperg family.

The exhibition in the Švýcárna includes a unique magnetic wall with play elements and the authentically furnished study of Professor František Bílek among its special features. Kočičí hrádek is a miniature castle built before 1896 by Princess Vilemína z Auerspergu, intended to delight not only her children but also people from the wider surrounding area. The site is especially suitable for the youngest visitors.

Nature

In the immediate vicinity of Slatiňany, the northern part of the Slavická obora game reserve is freely accessible. It also remains part of a protected landscape area and the Slatiňansko–Slavicko Landscape Heritage Zone.

The lookout tower on Chlum can be reached via an easy woodland walk of up to 60 minutes. The reconstructed lookout point on Chlum is freely accessible.
