Mostek: Hotels and Accommodation

Hemže-Mýtkov consists of south-facing slopes above the river, with scree forests on marl outcrops and a species-rich woodland flora. The adjacent former channels of the Tichá Orlice are also home to molluscs and amphibians.

Cycle Route 4061 provides access to the Hemže-Mýtkov Nature Reserve from Choceň and continues towards Česká Třebová. A waterfall may appear in the gorge of the nature reserve when water levels are higher.

The Mostek expiation cross is protected as a cultural monument. It is considered a rare surviving medieval monument associated with a local tragic event. The cross stands between Mostek and Brandýs nad Orlicí on Road 312, approximately 250 metres beyond the village in the direction of Brandýs nad Orlicí.

Kříž v Mostku is a stone cross on a four-sided stone pedestal. The rear of the pedestal records its erection in 1842 and restorations in 1881, 1894, 1923, 1937, 1970 and 2008.

Opposite the former grocery store stands a capital from the chateau, whose construction began in 1724. The remaining parts of the chateau begun near Mostek were dismantled by farmers from Mostek in 1874.

The Sudličkova Distillery is located in Sudličkova Lhota in the rooms of a medieval fortified manor house. The earliest surviving records of alcohol distillation there date from the 15th century. Sudličkova Lhota also has a medieval agricultural farmstead dating from the 14th century, which included a fortified manor house.

Mostecký šmajd was a charity walk held on 1 May 2026, with routes of various lengths. Participation was possible between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and the proceeds were intended to support Marek Kolář.
