Chlumy: Hotels and Accommodation

A chapel of Classicist origin dating from the first half of the 19th century stands on the small, sloping village square in Chlumy. The square building has rounded corners and an entrance with a round-arched vault; a small bell tower sits atop the pyramidal roof.

History and Regional Connections

Chlumy was first mentioned in 1558. The history of the village is connected with the Zelená-Hora estate and a Cistercian monastery. The ruins of the “Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast” are also located in the wider region surrounding Chlumy.

Routes Through the Municipality

The hiking trail from Mileč to Oselce runs through the northeastern part of the municipality of Chlumy and leads mainly along forest and field paths. The important cycling route No. 2046 from Kasejovice to Pačejov also passes through Chlumy.

The Buzrakov mountain (Plánický hřeben) and Kněžský vrch mountain are located in the surroundings of Chlumy. Nad Moráskem mountain is situated in the wider regional area. The Vráž hill [Myslív-Nový Dvůr] is located nearby.
