Vichov: Hotels and Accommodation

Víchov combines a clearly documented local history with the Víchovský rybník, also known as Víchovák, which served for many years as a popular summer swimming area in nature. The first written mention of Víchov dates back to 1342.

Chapel and Local History

At the roadside in Víchov stands a chapel that was completely reconstructed at the beginning of the 21st century. It features a memorial plaque commemorating the victims of the First World War, as well as colourful stained-glass windows.

According to some sources, the Hussite priest and ideologue Mistr Jakoubek ze Stříbra was born in Víchov.

Nature and Trails

In the surroundings of Víchov, south of Černošín, lies the Černošínský bor nature monument. The Pod Volfštejnem memorial site is also located there, surrounding the eponymous Volfštejn castle ruins.

South of Víchov, you can walk or go on a ride along a former agricultural road. The described walking or riding route passes by the Víchovský rybník at some distance.

Víchov lies approximately halfway between Stříbro and Černošín.
