Hostavice between natural landscapes and local history
Hostavice is located in Klánovice–Čihadla Nature Park. The Hostavický Stream divides Hostavice into two parts and flows into the Rokytka River in the Čihadla dry reservoir. When observing nature, the stream course in the locality and its confluence area in the dry reservoir can be considered separately. Archaeological finds suggest that Hostavice was probably founded in the first half of the 13th century as an archbishop’s estate. The oldest written mention of Hostavice dates from 1432. These two dates stand alongside the later purchase of the Kolman farmstead in 1934.
