Albrechtice nad Vltavou: Hotels and Accommodation

The Kapličkový hřbitov cemetery features uniformly designed chapels with folk paintings and rhymed inscriptions on the graves. During the tenure of parish priest Vít Cíza from 1819 to 1854, nearly all of the chapels were built there. After four years, around 60 chapels already stood around the cemetery wall.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint John the Baptist in Chřešťovice dates from the 13th century. Guided tours of the church with commentary can be arranged at least one day in advance. A late Gothic fortified residence was probably built at the manor in Chřešťovice in 1479.

The Chřešťovice hillfort is located on a spur between the left bank of the Vltava and the Kozín stream. Two ramparts and a ditch have been preserved at the hillfort behind the cemetery.
