Culture

The complex consisting of the Church of St. Peter and Paul and the vicarage is the oldest architectural monument in Bělčice. The church nave features a distinctive diamond-shaped rib vault; next to the church stands a free-standing 39-metre-high bell tower.

The birthplace of Ladislav Stehlík is designated as the Památník Ladislava Stehlíka and can be visited by prior arrangement. The Památník Ladislava Stehlíka is managed by the Muzeum středního Pootaví in Strakonice with the support of the Bělčice municipal office.

The local craft tradition includes the Vlasák family glassworks on the street behind the square. It produces replicas of historical glassware; its products bear the “Regionální produkt Prácheňsko” quality mark.

Nature and trails

The Naučná stezka Bělčickem educational trail is approximately 9.5 km long and can be completed on foot or by bicycle. It starts at J. Kučera Square in Bělčice.

The Velký Bělčický pond covers just under 46 hectares and is suitable for swimming. Sport fishing is possible at the pond after obtaining a permit.

The Blatná–Březnice railway line runs through Bělčice.
