Štěchovice: Hotels and Accommodation

In the northeastern part of Štěchovice stands the Zámeček, a single-storey, three-winged building with Renaissance origins. Later alterations were carried out in the Baroque period; its present appearance was created through a Neoclassical redesign.

Culture

Near the farmstead stands the Špejchar, also known as Špýchar. The building dates from the 18th century, is a protected monument, and served as a contribution granary.

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk stands on the Strakonice–Volenice road; it dates from 1861.

Near Štěchovice lies the Krčohrad castle site, the remains of a castle dating from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries.

During Easter, the tradition of Hrkání is maintained in Štěchovice: until Good Friday, children walk through the village four times a day. On Good Friday, everyone gathers at the Chapel of Saint John around a fire and burns a straw-stuffed effigy of Judas.

Nature

Štěchovice includes three ponds located approximately 1 km east of the village.

Štěchovice has a new sports field where nohejbal tournaments are also held. The sports field has a table tennis table and a rest pavilion.

Recommended cycling routes lead along side roads and local roads; some sections also run along field and forest paths.
