Forbes: Hotels and Accommodation
Forbes combines a former Augustinian monastery with exhibitions, historic railway carriages and a natural swimming pool. In addition, the small, vibrant natural island “Zahrada květů” in the centre of the town provides a suitable environment for butterflies, bumblebees, bees and other pollinators. Culture and History
The former Augustinian monastery was founded in 1455 by Petr z Lindy. The “Poklady z diecéze” exhibition focuses on ecclesiastical art as well as the Gothic and Baroque periods of the monastery. During the guided “Prohlídky šesti smysly” experience tour, visitors can try on ecclesiastical garments.
The “Vlakem z Borovan tam a zpátky” exhibition allows visitors to enter historic passenger and freight carriages in their original size. The information centre in the monastery grounds helps visitors plan trips and organises admission tickets.
The Museum čs. opevnění Borovany displays historic equipment from the site, weapons with accessories, as well as characteristic equipment and uniforms of the Czechoslovak armed forces from the late 1930s.

“Peklománie” includes a hell-themed slide where young visitors can let off steam. “Peklománie” is also an experiential trail through newly reconstructed hell-themed rooms for families with children and groups of children.
