Culture and history
The Chotovinské slavnosti are among the most important social and cultural events in Chotoviny and take place in August. The Church of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church in Chotoviny was completed in 1924.
Chotoviny Château was given a Neo-Romanesque appearance by Baron Nádherný. The Chotoviny château park was laid out by Baron Nádherný in the first half of the 19th century and covers 22.5 hectares. Due to its high dendrological value, it is classified as a Category I monument.
The Chotovinská Stations of the Cross is located in the forest near the Church of St. Peter and Paul. It consists of 14 stone steles and expands at its upper end into a chapel with a shallow niche. After decades of deterioration, it was restored as part of a project by students of the Pierre de Coubertin Grammar School in Tábor, with financial support from the municipality. The church was rebuilt between 1781 and 1786; its tower was added during this period. Parking is available directly next to the church in the square.
