Jistebnice: Hotels and accommodation

The Richard Lauda Memorial Hall is a permanent exhibition in the so-called “Zámeček” at náměstí 167 in Jistebnice. Paintings by Richard Lauda are displayed in the memorial hall. Visits can be arranged by telephone with a member of the Jistebnice municipal office.

The Jistebnický Kancionál is also part of the town’s history. It contains the first surviving record of the Hussite hymn “Ktož jsú boží bojovníci” and was found in 1872 in a Baroque building belonging to the deanery. The tower of the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael is a distinctive landmark of Jistebnice.

A forest park, the Městské sady, was created north of Jistebnice around a cascade of ponds. The ponds include Chadimák, Obecní, Nový and Kaplice. Several hiking trails also pass through Jistebnice.

The Jistebnickými sady educational trail is an easy circular route just under five kilometres long. As a loop trail, it has ten stops and is intended for hikers, mountain bikers and, in winter, cross-country skiers. In Jistebnice, you can also set out on cycling tours along the Greenways Čertovo břemeno cycle routes.

A Stations of the Cross trail leads to the Chapel of Saint Mary Magdalene on the hill southwest of and above Jistebnice. In clear weather, the Chapel of Saint Mary Magdalene offers views across the surrounding landscape as far as the peaks of the Bohemian Forest.
