Culture and history

Near Nemějice lies the stone circle beneath Mount Tábor, to the west below the mountain. It has a diameter of 8 metres and consists of a central stone and 16 peripheral stones, 4 of which mark the cardinal directions. The archaeological ritual site and burial mound field at Nemějice contain 33 burial mounds.

Burkovák is a unique Hallstatt-period ritual site of European significance. Its surroundings contain two burial mound fields dating from the Bronze Age and the Hallstatt period. In the Middle Ages, Burkovák, also known as Mount Tábor, was a destination for religious gatherings. Celebrations on Mount Tábor were revived in the early 1990s and continue to take place annually.

The U dvou Lip Chapel in Písecká Smoleč is one of the sights of Slabčice.

The green-marked hiking trail from Nemějice to Mount Tábor is considered short and not difficult. It follows a dirt track to Mount Tábor at an elevation of 504 metres and can be continued from Nemějice to Písecká Smoleč.

The so-called Kuličkovka is located on the final ascent to Burkovák. It was created in 2020.
