Culture

The first surviving written mention of Truskovice dates from 1274. Several examples of folk architecture have been preserved in Truskovice. On the outskirts of the town stands a niche chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk, while the pilgrimage Church of the Name of the Virgin Mary at Lomec lies southeast of Truskovice.

The village square is home to the Chapel of Saint Florian, a building in the folk Baroque style dating from 1821. The Staročeská konopická festival is held regularly in Truskovice.

Public transport provides regular connections from Truskovice to Netolice and Vodňany. Truskovice has no railway connection; the railway station in Vodňany is 5 km from Truskovice.
