Vydří: Hotels and Accommodations

History

Vydří was founded in 1365 as part of the Stráž estate.

Nature

Horní rybník lies north of Vydří and is an ecologically significant landscape feature and a local biocentre. It includes the pond with its bankside and associated vegetation. A distinct, relatively wide littoral zone is present along the entire shoreline.

Horní rybník is also an important refuge for amphibians, waterfowl and small birds, as well as other organisms in the agricultural landscape.

The local biocentre “Pod Šimáčkovým vrchem” contains a mosaic of small wooded areas, forest stands, managed and unmanaged grassland and herbaceous vegetation, and wetland communities.

The local biocentre “Na soutoku” lies at the confluence of the Vydří stream and an unnamed right-bank tributary flowing from Žabov pond.

Cycle Paths

The “Partnership Trail” cycle path runs from Lásenice via Vydří to Políkno and follows paved asphalt surfaces. It is suitable for all types of bicycles except racing bikes.

The “Nežárka” cycle path also passes through Vydří. This cycle path is 53 km long and suitable for trekking bikes.
