Hrádek: Hotels and Accommodation

The Chapel of St. Oldřich is a late Romanesque ossuary, probably dating from the 13th century, and is considered the only surviving structure that recalls the Přemyslid border castle in Hrádek. The Church of St. Peter and Paul is a Baroque church built between 1764 and 1767, replacing an older church. The core of the older tower and an adjoining section of the northern side aisle were preserved. The church has been documented since 1227; it was consecrated on June 22, 1767.

Agnes is a Neo-Gothic chapel with a square ground plan from the early 20th century, located about 200 metres beyond Hrádek on the road to Jaroslavice. A statue of Saint Florian dating from 1757 stands in the southeastern part of Hrádek’s square. Opposite the school is a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from the mid-18th century. The wayside shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows near a wine cellar in Hrádek dates from 1788. Below the church stands the sculptural group “Christ’s Farewell to the Virgin Mary,” dating from 1789.

The Meandry Dyje protected area preserves a largely unregulated section of the Dyje whose river dynamics remain intact. Meandry Dyje is also an important occurrence of the Green Snaketail (Ophiogomphus cecilia).

The Jaroslavické rybníky bird protection area protects the population of the Black-crowned Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) and its habitat. In the Jihomoravský kraj, it extends, among other areas, across the cadastral territory of Hrádek u Znojma.

Vodácké tábořiště Hrádek is a basic campsite for water tourists on the left bank of the Dyje at river kilometre 106.6 south of Hrádek. The section of the Dyje from Znojmo to Hrádek is described as a slow river rated ZW C, with picturesque meanders.
