The Ermistu-Tõhela landscape includes Lakes Ermistu and Tõhela, the surrounding bogs, and the village landscape of Tõhela. Part of this landscape lies within the Kihnu Strait Marine Park. Boating is available on Lake Ermistu, and an ice rink is opened there when winter conditions are cold enough.

The landscape is made up of two lakes, bogs, and the village landscape of Tõhela. Ermistu is therefore not defined by the lake of the same name alone: Lake Tõhela and the bogs are also part of the Ermistu-Tõhela landscape. Part of it lies within the Kihnu Strait Marine Park.
