History

Adzyubzha contains the 13th-century Marmalabaa Church. The historic episcopal territory of Dranda extended between the Kodori and Anakopia. The current occupation of the area prevents the study of Marmalabaa Church; its walls are in a serious structural condition and require urgent conservation.

Archaeological research in the Baglan tract near Adzyubzha documented rich cremation burials from the early Hellenistic period. The Baghlani cemetery also yielded an iron spearhead damaged by fire.

Nature

Abrskila Cave has a 800-meter-long visitor route within an explored section measuring 2 kilometers and contains stalactites and stalagmites. Its underground stream is about 14 Â°C and usually 20 to 50 centimeters deep, but in spring it can reach the hip height of an adult.

Wellness

The Kyndyg thermal complex offers outdoor pools with different water temperatures, hot showers, and mud baths.

Grapes, kiwis, feijoas, peaches, persimmons, citrus fruits, and hazelnuts are produced in Ochamchire District.
