Ureki is located in the southwest of the Kolkheti Lowland between the Black Sea, the nearby mountains, and the Supsa and Natane rivers; the climate is humid subtropical. The coast of Ureki is covered with magnetic sand along a length of 1.5 kilometers. This sand generates a natural magnetic field of low intensity and contains magnetite, titanomagnetite, monazite, and zircon.

The width of Ureki Beach is stated as 45 to 50 meters. A 550-meter-long concrete walkway for pedestrians has been built along the beach.
