The 24-meter-high tower of the Reformed Church of Égerszög was built in 1929 in the eclectic style at the center of the southern longitudinal wall. The cemetery of Égerszög preserves old, carved wooden gravestones with differently designed shapes according to the age and gender of the deceased.

Nature

Szabadság Cave is the third-longest fluvially eroded cave in the Aggtelek Karst. It was discovered in 1954 at the foot of Pitics Hill. Discovered in 1954, Szabadság Cave made Égerszög known throughout the country. Szabadság Cave is not accessible to tourists.

Next to Égerszög rises 456-meter-high Pitics Hill, the highest point of the hilly Galyaság region. An old metal lookout tower stands at its summit, offering views of the surrounding slopes.

The Aggteleki-cseppkőbarlang cave, Baradla-Caves cave, and Poronya-teto mountain are located in the surroundings of Égerszög. Settlements such as Égerszög are also part of Aggteleki National Park.
