Makkoshotyka: Hotels and accommodations
The Hotyka Stream has shaped the appearance of Makkoshotyka for centuries and continues to influence life in the village.
Nature
The riparian forests along the Hotyka Stream consist mainly of black alder and willow species and are considered indicators of the delicate balance of nature. The Hotyka Stream and the waterways surrounding it provide habitats for various animal and plant species and enrich the biodiversity of the protected landscape area.

Culture
The present-day Reformed Church of Makkoshotyka was built between 1941 and 1950. The 17-metre-high tower of the Reformed Church of Makkoshotyka, in front of the southern façade, was completed in 1942.
The former Meczner Chapel was built in 1911 in the Neo-Gothic style. It has no tower; a wooden bell tower stands beside it.
Meczner Castle was built by Rudolf Meczner in the Classical style. Located in the centre of Makkoshotyka, Meczner Castle was renovated in 2011. It had already served as a cultural centre; the post office and a medical practice are also located there. The garden belonging to Meczner Castle is now the school garden and contains numerous old, valuable trees.
The open-air museum of Makkoshotyka displays objects from traditional and more prosperous peasant life, including old horse-drawn firefighting equipment. The open-air museum of Makkoshotyka is intended to be open to visitors daily; on weekdays, visits must be announced at the mayor's office opposite.
