Culture and History
Csém is a Hungarian municipality in the Komárom District of Komárom-Esztergom County.
In 1989, Csém became an independent municipality; before that, the settlement belonged to Mocsa, Kisigmánd and Nagyigmánd.
Csém is described as being 7 kilometres southwest of the centre of Komárom and 27 kilometres northwest of Tatabánya, the county seat.
The town hall and a Roman Catholic church are located on Csém’s main street.
For travelling to Csém, Main Road 13 runs east of the settlement, while the M1 motorway is located south of the municipality. Bus connections run to Komárom, Bábolna and Kisbér; the nearest railway station is in Komárom.
