In Shortandy, the Leisure Center was extensively renovated as part of the Auyl–El Besigi project and designed as a recreational facility for people of all ages. It includes an auditorium, an art workshop, a dance studio, a library, and a coworking center. Clubs for children's theater, dombra, choreography, and pop singing, as well as a women's singing group, were also reintroduced there.

Another notable building is the Shortandy District Mosque. It was built in Shortandy and officially opened in November 2009. The single-story building is designed in an Eastern style and has a dome and two minarets.

Leisure

The Shortandy swimming pool has a 25-by-11-meter pool with five lanes and a depth of 1.4 meters. The building also includes a massage room, a medical office, a fitness area, and a buffet. The swimming pool was designed with facilities for visitors with disabilities.

Shortandy's central park was reopened after reconstruction. During a working visit to Shortandy District, a renovated stadium was also visited. It has seating for 1,250 people, an artificial turf field, and new running tracks.

Getting Around

Shortandy railway station was modernized, including the renovation of its interiors and technical systems. The modernization also included comfortable waiting areas, improved wayfinding, and facilities for passengers with reduced mobility and travelers with children.
