The excavation history of Borikazgan includes 442 stone artifacts; the tools were predominantly made from black flint nodules and cobbles.

Landscape

Early Paleolithic tools have been found along the Karatau mountain range at Shabakty, Tanirkazgan, Borikazgan, Akkol, and Kazangap. The Karatau Mountains are identified as favorable areas for early human settlement because of the abundant herds of wild animals and lush vegetation.
