You should take this approximate indication into account when finding your way.

In spring, the Ogre River offers an additional way to experience Meņģele from a different perspective. The route directory lists an approximately 20 km boat route from the Senogres Bridge to Meņģele, with a duration of 5 hours. The route therefore constitutes a full-day plan of its own and should not be equated with the 2.5 km circular hiking trail.

Route No. 163 also passes through Meņģele and runs past the Meņģele observation tower. If you are looking for accommodation, you can therefore base your choice on the focus of your trip: cultural sites and registration requirements call for advance planning, while hiking and water activities offer different time frames and types of excursion.
