The brick Daugų Dievo Apvaizdos bažnyčia (Church of Divine Providence in Daugai) was built from 1858 to 1862 to a design by architect Tomas Tišeckis. The first church in Daugai was probably built there later; today, a wooden cross stands on the hill.

The old Jewish cemetery in Daugai was in use from the 18th century until the Second World War. 81 gravestones have been preserved. The cemetery in Daugai is also home to the grave of Lithuanian partisans, opposite the entrance to the main cemetery. In 1990, the remains of 24 partisans killed in the post-war period were reburied there.

The monument, consecrated in 1992, is an oak cross with oak walls. It bears the names and birth and death years of the partisans. Together with the former cemetery, these places reveal different chapters in Daugai’s history.
