Karklė: Hotels and Accommodations

Karklė is the only surviving fishing village on the Lithuanian Baltic coast. Those wishing to book a hotel in Karklė can continue their accommodation search afterward.

The visitor center of the “Pajūris” Regional Park is located at 54 Placio Street in Karklė. It houses a 648-liter aquarium with a model ecosystem of the Baltic coast near Karklė. The visitor center also features an educational exhibition with games for children.

Culture

Net fishing is still practiced in Karklė today. The village has preserved its ethnographic character, history, and traditions. At the traditional festive coastal community gathering “Menkinė,” held in September, traditional crafts, games, traditional cod fish soup, and local folklore are presented.

Nature

Karklė is located in the “Pajūris” Regional Park. Karklė has pebble beaches and white-sand beaches. The Olando kepurės cliff is a distinctive natural monument.

Trails

The health trails near Karklė are marked with color-coded arrows; information boards stand at the trail intersections. The “Litorina” educational trail runs between Olando Kepurė and Kukuliškiai Hill.
