The Monastery of the Holy Trinity in Pljevlja has the status of a cultural heritage site of national importance. It was built in 1537; the monastery church acquired its present appearance in 1876. Culture
The Zavičajni muzej Pljevlja is a complex museum founded in 1952, with almost 5,000 objects in its archaeological, ethnological, historical and cultural-historical departments. Its collections document human life in the Pljevlja area from the Paleolithic period, dated to more than 40,000 years ago, through later periods; thematic exhibitions are held occasionally.
The Husein Pasha Mosque was built in 1569 according to plans by the architect Hajrudin and has a 42-metre-high minaret. It is located in the city centre. Milet Bašta is one of the oldest public green spaces in the Balkans, lies in the heart of Pljevlja and is connected to Vodice Park. A restaurant at this location serves national cuisine.
Nature
Pljevlja is partly located within Durmitor National Park. Vodice Park covers 12 hectares and is situated on the former estate of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity. It includes two artificial lakes and a fishpond.
Hiking and Cycling
Vodice Park has fitness, cycling and walking trails. On Velika Ljubišnja, the summit of Dernjačište offers views of the surrounding mountains and gorges. Ljubišnja is fully marked for hiking and mountain biking. Winter activities on Ljubišnja include snowshoeing and sledding.
The Meandri Ćehotine have viewpoints overlooking the winding river courses. The Đurđevića Tara Bridge, a tourist attraction, is located nearby.
