Śrem: Cycling Routes, Lakes and Culture

In Śrem County, you will find parks, forests, lakes and Warta floodplains, as well as natural monuments and architectural heritage. Starting in Jaszkowo, the Konwaliowy cycling route runs exclusively through forests in the Rogalin Landscape Park and leads to the Krajkowo Nature Reserve. It protects floodplain landscapes and old Warta riverbeds, wet meadows, ash-elm floodplain forest, fresh mixed forest and birds. About 120 bird species have been recorded in the reserve. The Łęgi Nadwarciańskie cycling route leads to the Warta’s floodplain-woodland banks, the lakes of the Kórnik–Zaniemyśl Valley and groups of old oaks regarded as particularly impressive in Greater Poland.

Two cycling routes follow the histories of notable figures. The Śladami Józefa Wybickiego route connects places associated with the life of General Józef Wybicki and passes through Śrem County. The Księdza Piotra Wawrzyniaka cycling route also leads to places associated with the notable figure Piotr Wawrzyniak and passes through Śrem County. The Śremskie Museum collects exhibits on the history of the town of Śrem and the region.
