Culture and History

The Gothic Church of Saint Catherine of Alexandria in Piotrowice dates from the second half of the 15th century. Ten epitaphs of the Niemitz and Seidlitz families, dating from 1567 to 1615, have been preserved in this church. A late Gothic sacramentarium and a Renaissance baptismal font from 1616 have also been preserved there.

The Protestant church in Piotrowice was built in 1832 and consecrated on October 20, 1833. A Bismarck medallion and an inscription bearing the names of 35 residents who fell in the Prussian-Austrian War of 1866 were placed on the Piotrowice obelisk in 1868. Five reconciliation crosses are embedded in the perimeter wall of the former manor complex in Piotrowice.
