The lake offers a range of activities, each with its own requirements. A notice published by the Polish Angling Association on April 25, 2025, describes a ten-year agreement for fishing access. Association members can fish with the required regional or seasonal contributions. Non-members need to obtain a time-limited permit.

Lake Steklno is also the official and only bathing area in the Gryfino municipality. Swimming is permitted there under the supervision of lifeguards between 10:00 and 18:00. For planning purposes, the key is which activity you have in mind: swimming is subject to the supervised hours, while fishing requires the appropriate authorization.

The churchyard cemetery in Steklno was added to the Voivodeship Register of Historic Monuments in August 1989. This gives the village a specific historical point of interest alongside the activities at the lake. On the right bank of the Eastern Oder, Gryfino’s waterfront serves passenger ships and water tourism. It is connected to the Zachodniopomorski Szlak Żeglarski network, which links tourist ports and marinas in West Pomerania along the Oder, the Szczecin Lagoon and the Baltic coast with German waterways. A cycle path runs along the entire promenade, where there is also a free public toilet.

Gryfino has another bathing area on the Eastern Oder waterfront. It is unsupervised, and swimming is prohibited—a clear contrast with supervised swimming at Lake Steklno. At the Oder beach on ul. Sportowa, you can rent single kayaks, double kayaks with room for a child, and SUP boards.

Two cycling routes are described in Gryfino. One cycle path runs from Jana Pawła II Street through Wełtyń to Gardno. The section of the Blue Velo route associated with Gryfino is about 46 kilometres long; the route as a whole covers 257 kilometres. This section runs mainly along former railway embankments, as well as forest tracks and low-traffic public roads.

Regional transport links are also specific: PKS Szczecin operates services from Gryfino bus station to Szczecin and all localities in the Gryfino municipality. Gryfino can be reached from Szczecin via National Road 31.
