It runs along the promenade by Lake Barlineckie and through the Barlinecko-Gorzowski Landscape Park. This distinguishes it from the marked routes of the Nordic walking centre, as it combines the lakeshore with the landscape park.

The Nordic walking centre has a total of 54 kilometres of marked trails. Its seven routes are divided into three difficulty levels. The Muzeum Regionalne w Barlinku is housed in Dom Gutenberga, a former printing works at 17 Niepodległości Street. Its exhibitions cover a range of topics. A biographical exhibition is devoted to world chess champion Emanuel Lasker and his family. The archaeological exhibition presents tools and vessels dating from the Neolithic to the Iron Age. An ethnographic exhibition explores the everyday life of the rural population around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, including household items, agricultural tools and workshop equipment. At the museum, you can therefore choose between biography, early material culture and historical everyday life as different ways to explore the past.

The townscape also features individual historic details. Of the former fortifications, which were 1,800 metres long in total, a little over 400 metres remain today. On Rynek Staromiejski stands a fountain built in 1912, featuring a sculpture of a girl being attacked by a gander. The projecting bay window of the Chiński House incorporates a scale model, reduced several times over, of the former Great Water Gate. The municipal bathhouse is also still well preserved.
