In Horgești, the parish church “Sfinţii Împăraţi Constantin şi Elena” was built between 1885 and 1889 by Profira Strat and her son George.

In the western part of the village of Horgeşti, on Dumbrava Hill, stands the cemetery church “Sfinţii Arhangheli Mihail şi Gavriil”. Its iconostasis appears to have been created around 1800.
